 NOTES:

Francesca was a ship of the Austro American Line

Not able to read/write may have meant, not able to in English.  Pappou Stamati was self taught to read/write in Greek & learned  enough English in the USA to translate BBC broadcasts during WW2.

From the AT & T on-line Phone Book I find 4 Serelis in the US.. One is a James in MA.

Country man is noted as occupation for several passengers.  This seems to be a translation of the Greek “horiatis” a villager, one who lives in the country.

Also I was unable to locate a Kemeeld Street in today’s Boston. I’ll need to order Boston City Directories for 1906/1907 to check this out.  (This was done and I found James Serelis on KNEELAND St

I was at the Regional Archives on Tues. but to my dissapointment MA is one of the states NOT indexed for the1910 Census. So I have to do some research to find him.

He somehow found a job at the Sunnyside Mines in Utah where he worked to sometime before May 11, 1911.
He had to be back in Greece from US by, May 11, 1911, as this is 267 days before Angelos’ birth.
He returned to Greece on either the SS Patris or SS Themistoclis.  Tackys thinks is was the Themistoclis. Jul 10, 2003

He Died of a stroke on Dec 30, 1946
